Benjamin G. Mayer
Benjamin Mayer is a co-founder and Managing Partner of LEÓN, MAYER & Co. Since co-founding LM, Mr. Mayer has worked on the development of the Firm’s private equity and investment banking businesses and has been involved in all of the Firm’s private equity and advisory transactions to date.
Prior to co-founding LEÓN, MAYER & Co., Mr. Mayer was an investment executive at Tishman Speyer in New York City where he focused on the development, acquisition and disposition of institutional real Estate assets across a variety of geographies. Mr. Mayer played a key role in the acquisition and disposition of several Class A properties and also spent time as a member of the portfolio management team that managed the company’s institutional value-added equity funds.
Prior to Tishman Speyer, Mr. Mayer was an investment executive at Meridian Property Company (“MPC”), an office and industrial value-added developer that is a subsidiary of The Marcus & Millichap Companies based in the San Francisco Bay Area. At MPC, Mr. Mayer was involved in the underwriting, due diligence, acquisition and operation of several suburban office, industrial and R&D properties acquired as development or redevelopment opportunities.
Mr. Mayer spearheaded the formation of the Executive Board and creation of the Florida chapter for the Steinhardt Jewish Heritage Program (“JHP”), a non-profit student leadership organization that connects Jewish students to prominent business leaders within their respective communities.
Mr. Mayer graduated with honors from The University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School. He also holds his FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses.
He was born in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey and currently resides in Miami.
